What is The Loop’s pet policy?

We love pets! The Loop welcomes one pet per resident with roommate approval. Weight and breed restrictions apply. Please inquire with the office regarding pet fees and deposits.

What are parking options at The Loop?

The Loop offers on-site assigned parking in our state-of-the-art, private garage for an additional monthly fee. Spaces are limited so inquire early! Alternatives include parking in lots on the adjacent UCSB campus, and street parking.

How do I get to campus?

The Loop is conveniently located adjacent to the UCSB campus, and most students walk or bike to class. The Loop is located approximately 12 miles from the SBCC campus, and most residents either drive or ride the Line 15x bus from Isla Vista to SBCC. The commute for this bus takes about 15-20 minutes, but with travel time to and from the bus stop, you want to have about 30 minutes set aside.

How do I submit a maintenance request?

Residents can submit a maintenance request on The Loop website, by calling the office, or by visiting the office in person. Our maintenance team is equipped to respond to all calls within 24 hours.

What if I have a maintenance emergency after the office is closed?

Our maintenance team is available to assist residents 24/7. If you have an emergency after office hours, please call (866) 424-8965 and follow the prompts for emergency maintenance.

What if I lose my keycard?

Replacement keycards are available for a small replacement fee.

Is The Loop community secure?

The well-being of our residents is our top priority. Security cameras are located throughout the building exterior and common spaces; electronic key cards are required for building, elevator and unit access; guests are required to check in at the lobby lounge; and locked bicycle parking is available to our residents.

How do I receive packages or mail?

Mail that does not fit in personal mailboxes is delivered to The Loop’s lobby lounge. Residents receive a notice via text that a package is available for pickup, which is kept secure prior to pickup. Each resident must present a valid ID in order to receive the package.

What is a CA?

CA is an acronym for Community Assistant. CAs are student residents who are employed by The Loop to assist our residents while living in the community.

Your Apartment
Does my unit come with furniture?

All apartments at The Loop are furnished with a wall mounted flat screen smart TV, wardrobe, desk, chair and extra-long twin bed. Fourth floor units include an en-suite washer and dryer, couch, and kitchen table and chairs.

What personal belongings do I need to bring?

Residents should bring bedding, cookware and toiletries.

What appliances come with the apartment?

Kitchens are well equipped with a stainless steel refrigerator, stove and oven, dishwasher and microwave. Fourth floor units include an en-suite washer and dryer. In addition, two 24-hour laundry lounges are also available on-site.

Do you have a meal plan?

No, we do not have a meal plan, but our apartments include full kitchens with all the necessary appliances for cooking. In addition, restaurants and cafes are conveniently located on the ground floor of The Loop.

Does The Loop allow personal grills?

Due to local county fire codes, The Loop cannot permit the use of personal grills on balconies.

Leasing & Rent
How do I reserve an apartment at The Loop?

To reserve an apartment, simply complete an application, have a parental guarantor form signed and notarized, and pay a security deposit.

What is a guarantor and do I need one to sign a lease?

A guarantor is someone who financially guarantees that the lease payments will be paid to The Loop. There are ways to structure a lease without a guarantor, call office for details.

How much is the security deposit and how can I pay it?

The security deposit is equal to one month’s rent. You can pay the security deposit with a personal check, cashier’s check or money order.

When will my security deposit be returned to me?

Security deposits are processed within the guidelines of state law promptly following the move out of your unit. Your unit will be inspected to ensure that it is left in the same condition that it was received with the exception of normal wear and tear. Any outstanding charges on your account upon move out will be credited with your security deposit, and the remainder will be sent to the forwarding address provided to us.

Can my security deposit be used for the last month’s rent?

The security deposit is not intended to be used for the last month’s rent, and will result in the assessment of late fees against your account.

What are The Loop’s lease terms?

The Loop offers flexible lease terms - call the office for details!

What is individual leasing?

Individual leasing means you’re only responsible for your rent regardless of sharing a room. If your roommate doesn’t pay rent, it’s not your problem.

Do you allow subleasing?

Yes, we do allow subleasing for an additional fee.

When is my rent due?

Rent is due on the 1st of every month. Payments received after the 3rd day of the month will be assessed a late fee.

How and where can I pay my rent?

The Loop accepts personal checks, cashier’s checks and money orders made payable to Peak Property Group, paid in person at The Loop’s office during business hours or by mail to: 6533 Trigo Road, Goleta, CA 93117. Residents can also pay rent on The Loop’s website with credit cards including Visa and Mastercard. Cash is not accepted.

What utilities are included in rent?

Water, sewage, trash, gas, wi-fi and cable are all included in rent at The Loop. There is a small fee for electricity. It is important to note that The Loop is a LEED Certified, energy efficient building, and thus uses minimal energy.

Are internet and cable included in rent?

Yes! Both internet and cable are included in your rent payment, and will be ready for use on move-in day.

Do I need to have my own roommates?

No, you do not need to have your own roommates.

Does The Loop offer roommate matching?

Yes! If you would like us to match you with a roommate, we include a questionnaire on each application to determine compatibility based on the school you are attending, bed times, intended use of the room, etc.

Do you allow for coed roommates?

Yes, coed rooming arrangements are accepted, although you must choose your roommates to have this option. Same sex roommate matching is our standard practice.
